R&E REPRODUCTION FLOWER MOTIF DOORPLATE CIRCA 1870

ZE-550 Russell & Erwin Reproduction Victorian Doorplate circa 1870

Larger back plate by R&E, which was patented on Jan 25, 1870. Shown in the 1870 catalog with our Grape Motif doorknob . Ours is recast from an original antique in solid brass, then given an "antique" patina, and sealed with lacquer.

Distance from the center of the knob to the center of the keyhole round bit is 2 3/4". This doorplate works well with our 2 3/4" setback, ornate Mallory & Wheeler rim lock .

An antique lock or our 2 1/2" setback mortise lock can be used.

Measures 8" tall by 2 5/8" wide.
