Mission Gas & Elec Triple Sconce Diamond Shade (532-TJ1-GE)

532-TJ1-GE  Butterscotch Art Glass Mission Transitional Gas & Electric Triple Sconce with Diamond Design Shades

532-TJ2-GE  Green Mission Transitional Gas & Electric Triple Sconce with Diamond Design Shades

532-TJ3-GE  White Mission Transitional Gas & Electric Triple Sconce with Diamond Design Shades

The late Victorian era had wider flame burners for gas, as seen by our 4" glass shade fitter on this classic transitional lighting fixture.  Electricity wasn't always reliable when it was introduced, however, in the transitional period.  Many fixtures offered both, and this is a particularly practical design.

This would be a great hall light or bathroom light now, as it was then.  This diamond design originated with Sechrist of Colorado, between 1910 - 1920.  Super for your bungalow or Arts & Crafts style home, too.

Our Mission fixtures are made of solid brass, darkened to an "antique" finish.

The glass shade for the "up" (or what was formerly the gas) fixture is sold separately.  We offer 27 styles of 4" fitter size glass shades, including a short and a tall version of our simple Mission style frosted shade shown here.

The two art glass shades are included in the purchase price.  Use the menu above to select your favorite shade of art glass.  Although the sockets are rated well over 100 watts, we recommend a 60 - 75 watt incandescent limit to protect the valuable art glass.  Turn of the century bulbs weren't available in the higher wattage and thus, heat.  If you are using Compact Fluorescent bulbs, you may use a higher wattage as they are cooler to the touch.

If you'd like to add an On/Off rotary switch to the mounting canopy, we offer custom installation of the switch for only $25.00.  Please click the "Yes" option in the "Add Switch?" menu to add the switch to your cart.

Measurements:

  • Height:  15"
  • Width:  15"
  • Projection:  9" from the wall into the room.
  • Fitter Size:  4"
  • Canopy Size:  4 ½" x 4 ½"; 3" deep.

Wattage

  • Wired to UL standards with three sockets, each rated for up to 100 watts each...however, when using incandescent light bulbs, we recommend a limit of 60 watts to protect the art glass shades.

These art glass shade holders are put together by hand; some slight imperfections may be noticed. This is how original Arts & Crafts fixtures were made.
