Mission Style Candle & Electric 2 Arm Ceiling Pendant Light (585-SGE-SA)

585-SGE-SA  Antique Brass Finish Mission Style Candle & Electric 2 Arm Ceiling Pendant Light (Pictured)

Combination gas and electric fixtures were made at the turn of the century, and for as long as 20+ years thereafter.  Electrical supplies were not always reliable in every location of America at this time.  There were two main types of "up" gas fixture.  One was a simple candle tube, as seen here.  The other was a wide flame burner surrounded by a glass shade, as appears elsewhere on this site.

Electric "down" 2 ¼" glass shades are sold separately.  Suggested shades are:  065G, 080G, 083G, or the lovely leaded 093G (as shown).  The glass candle tubes are included with the chandelier.

Measurements:

  • Height:  Supplied 44" tall, but can be shortened to as much as 29" by trimming the tube.
  • Spread:  25" including the pictured shades.
  • Canopy Size:  4 ½" x 4 ½"; 3" deep.

Extension kits for longer drops, and vaulted ceiling kits are available.

Wattage:

  • Candle Tube Sockets:  up to 75 watts each.
  • "Down" Sockets:  up to 100 watts each.
    • We recommend max 60 watt incandescent if you choose the art glass shades, to protect the glass from heat.  You may also use our LED bulbs for great energy savings, and cooler temperatures to protect art glass.

We also offer matching fixtures and lamps, including the Mission "T" lamp, and an electric candle wall sconce.  Most customers prefer to order matching shades, for our Mission Revival fixtures all work well together throughout the home.
