Art Deco Wall Sconces Pair of Antique Polychrome Slip Shade Lights (ANT-899)

ANT-899  Pair of Lovely Art Deco Polychrome Sconces Circa 1933

Pair of antique Art Deco slip shade wall sconces by a firm in Cleveland, Ohio called:  The Frankelite Co.  Frankelite had a logo which was a stylized "F" in a diamond device.  They issued their products under the trade name of Diamond Lighting Equipment.  These sconces, circa 1933, were part of the group they named the "Fenwick Series".

Frankelite was a rather small firm, about which very little is known.  We have a few examples of their work, and they are always rather unique and attractive stand-alone lights.  The name and date of these fixtures is verified by literature from the company as stated above.

Wonderful condition.  The shades are simply a treat, and in remarkable condition. Shades were probably made by Consolidated Glass or another quality glass house.

The metal sconces have their original polychrome finish of a few touches of various colors.  Very nice...very original and hard to find this preserved.

Measurements:

  • Height:  11 ¼"
  • Width:  7" (maximum width at the backplate).
  • Projection:  5" from the wall into the room.

We rewired these sconces in our UL listed shop with new sockets and new rotary switches, just like the old ones.  Ready to go, and really quite exceptional.  All mounting hardware will be supplied.

Price:  $850.00 for the lovely pair of Fenwick Sconces...plus shipping.
