Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier with Amber Etched Glass Center Panels (ANT-970)

ANT-970  Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier with Amber Etched Glass Center Panels

Fantastic Art Deco 1930s chandelier. This is such an unusual light, it is hard to find a place to start. First, it is a 6 light fixture. Five of the lights are on the outside on the arms, in the gorgeous amber shades, and one is in the center behind the fine--amber etched glass--center panels.

This chandelier has been re-wired in our UL lamp shop with new sockets and wire to UL standards. Each new arm socket can easily take a 100 watt bulb giving a total of 500 watts of light if so desired. Of course, LED bulbs are neat too.

The center socket, that lights the center amber etched panels, has been given a rather special treatment. We started with a normal medium base socket. To that, we added a reducer. (which can be removed) to add our special, low output LED fiber bulb to give the center panels a nice long light. (E12-5W27) We will include this bulb with the chandelier and you can use it, or removed the reducer and use a normal bulb. The choice is yours.

The five etched glass center panels are lovely. They slip in from the top and I am pleased to say that they are in mint condition with so little roughness that it is not worth discussing. This chandelier is different from most in that it has a bottom glass panel. There is a light from the center that does come through it.

The shades, for each of the arms, while being lovely embossed amber, are also in outstanding condition with only the most minor of roughness.

The metal of the chandelier is, I believe, cast aluminum and some mixed metals- for the main fixture metals all of which have a nice antique finish. All make a very nice appearance.

We had another one of these that was from the same home....and it sold very quickly to a discerning customer....very quickly. What a statement these chandeliers make!

Price:  $ 1,450 which includes all the shades and the lovely etched glass center panels.
