Antique Edwardian Pair of "Venus" Wall Sconces
Pair of nice sconces....Venus arising from the sea motif.
Solid brass with fine cut glass shades included.
The shades are “hand” cut...not machine cut and these shades
did take hours to make. Real crafts people here.
The sconce are made from solid brass and re-wired to accept 100 watt bulbs.
Sconces have been re-wired in our UL shop .
The sconces mount with a special crossbar that picks up mounting screws at the very top
and the very bottom of the backplate. We assume that that this was done
to prevent holes being drilled in the center of the motif.
