ANT-594  Adaptation of Vintage 1940s Petroleum Club Mid Century Modern Chandelier with 10 Lights and Bowl Shade

Exciting adaptation of a Mid-Century Modern Romanesque fixture to gas-look shades and leaded glass bowl below.  While the top rim has a great grouping of 6 gas style ball shades, the leaded glass bowl below has a cluster of four sockets within it.  All in all...a ten light chandelier.

This marvelous 46" diameter chandelier was inspired by original chandeliers from the Petroleum Club in Houston, Texas.  We bought the double-tier dining room chandelier from the 1946 club, and a couple are still available (at this time) as part number ANT-460.

The Petroleum Club dates to 1946, when it was established by Houston oilmen.  As of Jan 12th, 2015, the club changed ownership and function by the Exxon Mobile Corporation, and the great chandeliers became available.

The design is so appealing, that we created special chandeliers using the top ring for a special customer.  We made a variety of types, and we now offer this special one.

This design appeals, since it looks good from EVERY angle.  Great for a stairway that curves around it...looking sideways...looking downward...every angle has design and a pleasant appeal.

  • The hang height can be adjusted for the customer either longer...or shorter...for project needs.

Wiring:  This is a 10 light chandelier.  There are 10 medium base sockets for standard bulbs.  It has been wired in our UL shop, and is UL approved.  While it uses regular medium base bulbs of any type now, we can adjust this wiring for special uses too.  It could be adapted to chandelier sockets, or even GU-10 sockets.  At present, we are using a 9 watt dimmable LED bulb for regular E26 sockets.  This bulb is special, as it is dimmable, a normal medium based bulb, and powerful...being equal to a 100 watt incandescent bulb.  Looks nice too.  We offer a choice of Warm White 2700°K or Bright White 5000°K kelvin temperatures.  The neat LED bulbs DO come with the fixture.  What you see will be what you get.
