These turn of the century lights had several names: barn lights, gas station lights, or simply commercial or shop lights. They'd fit right into a cottage, garage, or Early American period home, too.
Whatever you might wish to call them, they have been faithfully reproduced and now meet all UL requirements. We show the light with a plastic bulb shield, sold separately.
If you plan to use it outdoors, a waterproof energy saving bulb (BR-38) can also be ordered. The BR-38 requires a standard incandescent socket, as this light has. The bulb shield and finial kit does not fit on CF bulbs.
A mounting canopy is not supplied with the wall-mounted light fixture. These fixtures mounted directly into the electrical outlet box, via a box cover with a round threaded pipe receiver. You would buy either a round shaped cover or arectangular cover, with a 1/2" threaded pipe receiver. These are sold in hardware stores alongside the electrical boxes. The pipe for the light fixture threads directly into this cover. It is the way the original fixtures were mounted.
