Victorian 2 Arm Sconce (704-GAS)

704-GAS  Polished Unlacquered Brass Gaslight Replica 2 Arm Sconce

704-GAS-DK  Antique Brass Finish Victorian Style 2 Arm Wall Sconce

704-GAS-NP  Nickel Plated Recreated 2 Arm Gas Wall Light

704-GAS-OB  Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish Recreated Two Light Wall Fixture

The beauty and practicality of electric lights, with the grace and charm of a faithfully recreated gas light.  Gas shades are held by a nicely pierced 4" gas fitter.  This would be from the later Victorian era, when the 4" wide flame burner was available.  Then as now, these put out a good amount of light, up to 200 watts with incandescent bulbs, more with CF bulbs.

Available in five finishes:  brass, antiqued brass, pewter, oil rubbed bronze, or nickel plated brass.  Beautiful and unexpected for a modern bathroom or hallway, practical for any period home by using our variety of 4" glass shades.

Shades are sold separately.  Fixture uses 4" fitter shade.  We picture 068G as a suggestion.  With our shade fitters, fixture may be hung with the shades up, as it would have been when using gas, or shades down, for better task lighting for a work surface or vanity.

If you'd like an On/Off switch added to the base, we can provide this custom installation for only $25.00.  Please click the "Yes" option in the "Add Switch?" menu to add the switch to your shopping cart.

Pictured here also are a few ideas for complementary fixtures.  We show a single gas sconce, 703-GAS , great for bedside, hallways, and bathroom.  A two-light pendant is gas fixture 712-DGS-EP.  For a more formal chandelier, see 714-QGS-CH.

If your home is 1895 or more recent, you can also use "transitional" fixtures, which mix gas "up" lights and electric "down" lights.

Measurements:

Height:  10 ½"

Width:  10 ¾"

Projects:  10" to edge of 068G shade (as pictured).

Wattage:  100 watts per socket, yielding 200 watts total.
