A most versatile look and appeal.  Electric power wasn't always reliable in its early days, and bulbs were low wattage.  The practical homeowner had "backup" gas lighting, which persisted in design for about 20 years.

Measurements:

  • Height:  13 ½" with the shades pictured.
  • Width:  7 ½"
  • Projection:  10" from the wall into the room.
  • Canopy Diameter:  4 ¾"
  • Wattage:  Up to 100 watts incandescent per socket.

Available in different finishes.

Great for both up and down facing lights near a bathroom sink, in a hallway or bedside, as well as a reading light.  Especially in the Nickel Plated, this little light can look very contemporary.

Shades sold separately.  Shade fitters sizing:  One 4" gas (up) and one 2¼" electric (down).  We suggest our cupid 4" gas shade as a suggestion for the upper gas shade, and matching 2 ¼" cupid shade as the lower electric shade.  We offer more than a dozen possible combinations to suit any décor.

If you'd like an On/Off switch added to the base, we offer custom installation for $25.00.  Please click the "Yes" option in the "Add Switch?" menu to add the switch to your order.

Pictured here also are several fixtures to complement the sconce.  Our transitional pendant is great for entries, halls, or small rooms.  Our gaslight pendant would be terrific in a standard size room, and for real impact, try a large transitional chandelier.
