Recreated R&E Narrow Door Plate Circa 1887 (ZE-500C)

ZE-500C  Reproduction of Fine Victorian Doorknob and Keyhole Door Plate circa 1887

Tall and narrow back plate by R&E, which is featured in Catalog VII, dated 1887.  Two keyholes guard your entry, one of them covered with a fierce feline.

Lost Wax cast, just like fine jewelry, in solid brass.  For R&E hardware, we apply an antiqued brass hand finish, then lacquer to preserve the color.

Use our Victorian mortise lock, ZB-299WN (2 5/8" backset) or ZB-400WN (2 1/4" backset), which have a decorative faceplate and strikeplate.

Don't forget to select an R&E reproduction doorknob, such as grape leaf knob ZE-38, or warrior knob ZE-23, for a classic entry.  We offer 11 doorknob choices in the R&E Series.

Measures 8 3/8" tall x 1 5/8" wide.

Center of knob to center of the 1st keyhole round bit:  1 3/4" & to the 2nd keyhole:  3".
