ZLW-490HO Sargent Reproduction Victorian  Griffin or Dragon Handle Only Door Plate 23" Tall

This is a wonderful reproduction antique mythological griffin or dragon motif handle-only door plate. This means it doesn't operate a mortise mechanism. Picture this classic on the door to your wine cellar, or in a Gothic Revival setting.

The original antique door plate is very rare, and was made by Sargent & Co. just before the turn of the century. Ours has been recreated by the Lost Wax casting process (same method as fine-jewelry making) and is enhanced with an antique brass finish.

Backplate measures 23" tall x 3 3/8" wide. Handle projects 3".
