When electric lights came out, ceilings became lower because you didn't need the height to keep the gas flame away from your face.  The close ceiling light became the fixture of choice, in every type of low (now called standard height) ceiling home.  Choose between our different finishes in the options menu above.

Measurements:

• Diameter:  12 ½" in diameter, from shade to shade as shown.
• Height:  7 ½" from the ceiling with the pictured shades.
• Wattage:  Each socket is UL rated for up to 100 watts incandescent each.

Fixture uses 2 ¼" fitter shades.  Shades are sold separately.  We picture a Victorian ruby tip glass shade as one suggestion.  For convenience, we have included an option to purchase this fixture with the pictured shades in the menu above.  We also have many 2 ¼" glass shades from which to choose.
