239-RH2T-CH “Streamline Art Deco” Large DOUBLE-TIER Chandelier
Originally in the 1930’s, Lightolier made a much smaller chandelier using these very same opal shades. It was shown in the Lightolier 1933 catalog for Builders, Architects, and Decorators. Lightolier called the series that used these neat heavy opal glass shades: the “Luxart” series. We are now growing this Luxart series into a complete matching line of lighting.
This largest bottom tier of shades is 50” in diameter and the 2nd tier is 28” diameter. Overall, it is normally supplied as a standard height of 48”, but can be extended-or shortened-for different applications.
The recreated opal shades are thick and imposing glass…not acrylic. Within the bottom 50” tier, there are 7 medium base sockets while the seconnd 28” tier has five medium base sockets; and there is a cluster of 4 sockets to light the bottom halophane bowl.
Powerful 25-watt, or higher, LED bulbs will simply make this unique chandelier glow. A powerful statement. An additional option might be dividing the various levels into different circuits to be controlled by separate switches to give a multitude of light levels. We have done this many times but does involve a cost factor.
This frame has been created in Art Deco traditional aluminum, with internal...unseen steel supports sections. A perfect “quality” streamline chandelier for the important entry way or room. And while the chandelier is shown, and normally supplied in it’s aluminum color as Lightolier did originally, it can also be supplied in an “Old Gold’ finish for an extra processing fee.
A heavy duty, special designed, UL mounting kit will be supplied.
Price: $12,750.00 complete plus crated freight.
