ZLW-189SP Antique Reproduction Pavia Entry Door Plate
This is a reproduction from of the "Pavia" pattern roaring lion doorknob backplate by Corbin, which can be seen in their Circa 1900 catalog.
This impressive exterior doorknob & cylinder backplate has a design of double full figured cherubs flanking a lion's head. It is meant to be used as an exterior door plate, with a doorknob on the bottom hole and a lock cylinder in the top hole.
The design is very classical Roman, which would look terrific in a French Revival, English Tudor, baroque, or Gothic style home as well. Cast in solid brass using the lost wax method, the finish is "antique" darkened brass. Backplates are sold in singles.
On the interior of the door, you would use the matching door plate, which has a turnlatch on the door plate to lock the door from the inside.
You can use our antique reproduction mortise lock for this entry door plate. Of course we offer the matching roaring lion doorknobs .
Measures 4" wide by 18" tall. Measurement from the center of the cylinder hole to the center of the doorknob spindle hole is 3 3/4". Doorknob receiver has an 11/16"internal diameter.
