Victorian Amber Tip Glass Gas Shade 4

079G  Orange Tip Antique Reproduction Victorian Glass Gas Shade 4" Fitter

Blown glass with amber to lighter amber at the end of the frosted shade, suitable for fixtures formerly gas light.

Beautiful clear floral motif around shade.  Since the amber tipping is done by hand, some variations in color may occur.  Order as many shades as you need at the same time, so we can match them for you.

The wide flame gaslight fixtures used this size shade from around 1860-1895.

Measurements:

  • Height:  5 ¼"
  • Width:  7 ¾"
  • Fitter Size:  4"

If you have a transitional fixture that has both "up" gaslight shades and "down" electric shades, we offer matching amber tip 2 ¼" fitter electric shade.  Transitional fixtures were in use until all areas were fully electric, around 1915 in the cities, and even later in rural areas.

Save on shipping by combining products into one order.

In order to match historical apperance some colored shades are made using a water based dye or paint. Clean with a soft dry cloth. Do not wet.
