Mortise Locks are a traditional type of door lock, with the lock mechanisim housed in a rectangular void cut into the edge of the door. A must for those who are doing restorations. Our tubular sets ( Sometimes referred to as conversion sets ) Place the lock/latch mechanism in a hole drilled into the edge of the door. These sets allow conversion of a modern door to traditional appearance. All our door sets on this page are non keyed. Interior Doors (the most common type) nearly always come in one of two configurations: "Privacy" (lockable, one side only) "Passage" (non-locking).
