Nice keyhole with a dart through the center.  Shown in the 1870 Russell & Erwin upscale home hardware catalog.

Cast using the Lost Wax Casting process, just like fine jewelry.  Solid brass is hand-antiqued and lacquered.

Pair this with the Russell & Erwin doorknob rosette, and a variety of fine R&E doorknobs.

For a very large sideboard or massive chest of drawers, this would be an impressive furniture keyhole escutcheon.  Picture this on a dark oak Mission sideboard.
