ANT-1176  Streamline Top-of-the-Line 6-Shade Chandelier by Markel

Fine Streamline Art Deco six-shade chandelier by Markel Electric Products, Buffalo, New York. Circa 1935-37 (per in-house museum catalog).

This was absolutely “top-of-the-line” for this Streamline series being a six-light fixture and having elements of bakelite for both the center stem section and the bottom finial. A very nice and unusual touch. So many times one or the other of these bakelite pieces (or both) have been lost. Nice to find this complete chandelier.

This nice chandelier has it’s original antique finish. It’s condition is commensurate with it’s age and does show the lived in “aged” look. Not perfect...just truly antique.  This is why we show close-up pictures.

As mentioned, nice original antique finish and great condition shades. We have rewired this completely in our UL shop....to current UL standards.

The shades, due to their age, do show a slight variation here and there but all in all ...super condition for the age and life they have been through.

Ready to go and lovely. We will supply a mounting kit with the chandelier.
