ANT-1286  Art Deco 5-Shade Chandelier by Virden
Great Art Deco chandelier made by Virden. Various versions, of this chandelier, are shown in their catalog of 1931.
Virden called this series: “The Berkeley Line”. There were chandeliers with various support types; various stems; all using this iconic shade.
This chandelier is finished in an Art & Crafts style of pewter, with an air of Gothic, while still remaining Art Deco. This design does cross a few decorative motifs.
The shades are amber and in good...remarkable...condition. Over the last 90 years, they have aged their color a bit, and are not all exactly alike, but very nice indeed.
The chandelier has been completely re-wired, in our UL shop, with new sockets and wire. Sockets can easily handle 100 watt incandescent bulbs.
Measurements: Overall height is approximately 24” tall from the ceiling to the bottom of the finial. Maximum diameter, shade tip to shade tip, is 18 1/2”.
All mounting hardware will be supplied.
Price: $950.00 for the complete UL re-wired documented Virden Chandelier...plus shipping.
