ANT-1463 Pair of Top-of-the-Line Art Deco 6-Shade Chandeliers by Markel
Near matched pair of Markel top-of-the-line Art Deco 6-Shade Chandeliers that have 5 Slip Shades and a matching Bottom Shade ca. 1935. Made by Markel Electric Products, Buffalo, New York.
These frames are made from cast iron and have a fantastic red-bronze finish. Outstanding condition. The slip shades are dark amber in color and the bottom shade differs just slightly lighter…which is so typical with 6-shade chandeliers. These chandeliers measure 27”and 28” tall. The diameter of both is 19 inches.
We are supplying the bracket (crossbar) for these lights…so literally you can hang these lights and have them working minutes after receiving them. These chandeliers have been rewired in our UL shop and do maintain the ambiance of the original 1930’s lights. Each slip shade uses a normal medium base bulb but the bottom shade has chandelier base sockets.
We like a small LED bulb in that bottom shade position...so...we will include this bulb to see if you like it too. You can also see a switch that used to function on the bowl but it is just decoration now.
Being 6-lights, these are considered top-of-the-line. Normally sold each...we think that they should be kept together since it is so hard to find matching lights for larger rooms...especially of this quality. So...one price takes them both.
Price: Nice documented Pair of Markel chandeliers with near-mint glass shades and UL re-wiring: $2,500.00 buys them both, plus shipping.
