631-AES-MG  Polished Unlacquered Brass Reproduction Victorian Male Mythical Figural Sconce Circa 1870(Pictured)
631-AES-DK  Antique Brass Finish Reproduction Victorian Male Mythical Figural Sconce Circa 1870
Figural gas brackets (sconces), like these, were popular Circa 1875.  Both figures (see also female 632-MAG-RS) appear to be mythical messengers, which was a popular motif for early lighting.
This light is Lost Wax cast, as are the finest bronzes.  UL approved and fully electric now, see a close-up of the female figure sconce below.
This fixture uses one 2 5/8" fitter size shade, authentic to the early gas light. Shades are sold separately. Choose from 11 shades with 7" or 8" diameter. We picture 061G as a suggestion.
	Measurements:
	Overall Height:  28"
	Projects:  10"
	Weight:  10 lbs.
For your entry, pair this sconce with the mythical figural newel posts . The newel post lights were put at the bottom of a staircase, and each turn of the stairs.  We also make mythical chandeliers such as the Zeus or Jupiter chandelier, to complete the theme.
