ANT-1302  Art Deco 2-Shade Pendant by Markel

An Antique Art Deco Slip Shade two-shade Pendant by Markel. This light, circa 1935, was part of their "8800 series". This chandelier was Model 8812. Their 1930’s catalog says it has a spread of 15“ by 6” width…no length was specified which can be assumed to be an option.

Markel was one of the biggest companies working in the Great Depression and had locations in America and Canada and Australia. They made a lot of the antique slip shade fixtures in antique shops today and were a quality company.

Red Bronze finish. The finish, while being cleaned up “a mite“, is original and simply beautiful to the max. You cannot find a more authentic antique red bronze finish slip shade chandelier than this one.

Wonderful condition. The shades are simply a treat and in remarkable condition.  Probably made by Consolidated Glass or another quality glass house. We re-wired this neat pendant in our UL shop.

Measurements:  As stated by the original catalog: widths are approximately to the catalog specs of 15” x 6” and it hangs is 21” which could be lengthen...if a longer hang height is desired.
