These sconces are “Soleure” by Mid-West, cast in solid bronze that Mid-West was famous for. Mid-West only made the best quality lighting and did have different finishes...and...these were top of the line.

Mid-West was one of the slip shade lighting companies that survived the Depression. They were still in existence until a couple of years ago when a larger lighting company bought them up. It is our opinion that they survived the Depression because they refused to compromise on quality…even in hard times...because they knew that folks with money were still out there and those customers refused to compromise their buying ethic.

We took these four sconces from a very fine home along with a matching chandelier.

These sconces have been totally re-wired, in our UL shop, with new chandelier sockets and a nice new rotary switch for each one. The red-bronze Antique back plate...with newer UL rotary switch...looks identical on the front...to the originals...but now, totally UL safe and functional.

There are two original paper labels on the back of a couple sconces that adds a nice, antique touch. Each pair will have ONE sconce with the shown labels. What those label meant...we can only guess...but we do know that they are original makers labels.

Measurements: 12 inches tall and it has a width of 5 1/2 inches…with a 5” projection into the room.

We will supply a mounting kit for each sconce.

The four shades are in excellent condition, commensurate with their age with slight color blemishes but with no chips or cracks and they all match each other very nicely. We are selling these sconces as pairs. Imagine what a fantastic decorative effect that these four sconces did have mounted along their original deco hallway (and can have again).

Priced: Yes, these are very hard to find in Solid Red-Bronze and the price reflects both the quality and their scarcity. Price…per pair...$1,250.00 (plus careful packaging and shipping).
